After the extreme metal tinged with crust punk of the split Mácula/Extinction Remains, today there's the turn of a Canadian hardcore punk outfit named Citizen Rage. In particular, I'll talk you about their "Black EP", their 6th EP that belongs to a special series of EPs that, entitled after their colour (for example, the previous one is called "Pink EP"), the band is producing since their foundation in 2014. This one was released under the auspices of Wasted Wax Records, in an all-Canadian production. Now let's see what is this "Black EP"!

Serpents Athirst/Genocide Shrines/Trepanation/Heresiarch - "Scorn Coalescence" (Cyclopean Eye Productions, 2019)

Bands: Serpents Athirst/Genocide Shrines/Trepanation/Heresiarch
Title: Scorn Coalescence
Genre: Bestial Black/Death Metal
Time: 22.22 min
Release date: 26th July 2019
Vote: 75/100

There is a lot of war metal (Profane Order, Pig's Blood, Hatevömit) in these last times on Timpani allo Spiedo 'zine, and today I keep on reviewing releases of this kind with this fantastic 4-way split entitled "Scorn Coalescence" that I received through Qabar Extreme Music PR. Released by the Indian label Cyclopean Eye Productions, it see an unholy and destructive alliance between two entities coming from Sri Lanka (Serpents Athirst and Genocide Shrines) and other two coming instead from New Zealand (Trepanation and Heresiarch), a small country very known for these particular sonorities. Each of them presents here an exclusive track for this split, except for Genocide Shrines, whose "All and/or Nothing" was previously released in some recent live albums. And be sure that each of them is perfect to destroy completely your ears, and the nicer thing is that this split, as you'll see soon, becomes sicker song after song!

Honorable Mentions from the Abyss #13: Pacifist+Death by Fungi

Hey brutalbangers,
some days ago you discovered an Indian thrash metal act called Sabotage. Well, this time we'll dig into the Indian hardcore punk scene through two very talented bands: Pacifist and Death by Fungi. Both self-released their own EP in 2019, and both were sent me by the Bengal agency Qabar Extreme Music PR.
So, welcome to this new episode of "Honorable Mentions from the Abyss" (no reviews, no votes, only mentions!) and let's start to discover these Indian bands!

Sabotage - "The Order of Genocide" (Self-released, 2019)

Band: Sabotage
Title: The Order of Genocide
Genre: Thrash Metal
Time: 16.31 min
Release Date: 3rd August 2019
Vote: 72/100

Ultimately India is shocking the metal world underground with unhuman bands such as Tetragammacide and Kapala, that have a lot of fun by raping the listeners' ears with a noisy and very particular way to intend the bestial black/death metal. But, in according to what the Bengal agency Qabar Extreme Music is sending me in these times, India is able to offer also something more than that lethal black noise. This is confirmed by post-hardcore acts like Death by Fungi and Pacifist (that will be reviewed in the next days to come) but also by a thrash metal band named Sabotage, that are very young since they were founded only in 2017 but their "The Order of Genocide" EP shows a great self-confidence. So, let's go today to discover the Indian thrash metal movement!

Service communication:
before reading this article, you must know that my ebook about the first wave of black metal called "Nel Segno del Marchio Nero" was released on 24th March 2019. Unfortunately, it is written only in Italian but, surely, into it there aren't the over-rehearsed sounds à la Lord of Chaos. If you want to buy my ebook, you can order it through the best Italian and international stores like Feltrinelli, IBS, Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Thank you in advance!

----------------------------------------

Hey brutalbangers,
if the previous appointment with "Honorable Mentions from the Abyss" was entirely focused on heavy/speed metal, the new one is only about a sub-genre that I love since the time in which, 11 years ago circa, I bought "Vengeance War 'Till Death" of Bestial Warlust: bestial black/death metal! So, today I talk about 4 bands playing this kind of (anti-)music that, in some cases, are already famous in the underground scene. And I inform you that, of these 4 bands, 3 of them were sent to me by the promotion agency Qabar Extreme Music from Bangladesh, whom I thank for the promos. But come on, let's not waste any more time and read this article, bestial maniacs!
