Uraniavore Goatphago/Necromorbid - "Gasmask Goat Terror" (Blasphemous Arts Productions, 2025)

Fino a qualche anno fa, prima che Timpani allo Spiedo si desse di più all'hardcore punk, i gruppi afferenti al mio tuttora amatissimo bestial black/death metal erano all'ordine del giorno. Ecco così che a cadenza regolare parlavo di gentaglia come Black Witchery, Bestial Warlust, Revenge, Weregoat, Crurifragium, Necroblood, Necroholocaust, Nocturnal Blood, Infernal Blast, Radioactive Vomit, Morbid Blood Kult, Profane Order, Goatchrist666, Barbaric Horde, Ruach Raah, Satanize, Pig's Blood, i romanissimi Intolerant e milioni di altri. E questo senza citare l'infornata di band simili recensite su HeavyMetalWebzine, alcune delle quali inserite pure qua, e lì la lista diventa ancora più lunga (Morbosidad, Sadistik Exekution, Sacrocurse, Abysmal Lord e bla bla bla). Ma su Timpani allo Spiedo ha trovato posto pure il gruppo capostipite di questo genere come i Blasphemy, che 7 anni fa scesero a Roma per un concerto costato un occhio della testa, cioè ben 35 € manco fosse una serata mainstream del cazzo. Però sì, ormai farò parte da anni della scena hardcore e avrò pure abbandonato i (pallosissimi) concerti metal ma, siccome il bestial black/death metal rimane uno dei miei generi preferiti in assoluto, ogni tanto roba di questa risma ritorna prepotentemente su queste lercissime paginette. Tipo oggi. E allora quest'oggi sorbitevi la recensione di "Gasmask Goat Terror", un succulento split tutto italico che, pubblicato nel dicembre 2025 solo in versione vinilica dalla Blasphemous Arts Productions di Gallipoli, vede darsi battaglia 2 band notevoli e bestiali fino al midollo: i marchigiani Uraniavore Goatphago e i toscani Necromorbid.

Here comes Blasphemy! They were plenty of fukken years that we awaited this moment and, finally, these Canadian legends called Blasphemy played for the first time ever in Rome (and also in Italy) on 5th December 2019 at the Traffic Live Club! Ok, the price for the concert was really absurd because it was of 35 shitty euros, and I know many people who denied to be present that night just for that price. In addition, the concert was organized on Thursday, surely a "wrong" day, and also because of this "little" detail that there were less attendants than expected through the FB event. But fuck all these considerations because Blasphemy are a pure kult for me and, I repeat, it was their first time ever in Rome, so the occasion was truly unmissable in every fukken sense, also since who knows when they'll come back here in Italy?
