Play Fast 2 (28 marzo 2026 @ CSOA Spartaco)

Sarò pure stucchevole ma lo voglio ripetere e ribadire anche qui: il Play Fast 2 è stato bellissimo! È stato un po' come tornare all'atmosfera dei vecchi Go! Fest che si tenevano allo Spartaco, anche se con un po' meno di gente. Il cs infatti non è stato così affollato, vuoi perché non c'è stato nessun gruppo dall'estero (che è sempre un di più non indifferente), vuoi perché al Defrag si stava tenendo in contemporanea un concerto hardcore con i By All Means, e penso che la maggior parte della scena romana sia andata lì. Ma a noi patiti del grindviolence e del rumore assordante di tutto questo non ce n'è fregato un'emerita mazza, ed ecco quindi che siamo stati allo Spartaco a farci mazzolare per bene i timpani da 8 gruppi uno più figo dell'altro, i quali hanno avuto TUTTI mezzora circa di tempo a disposizione. Solo che di queste band ne ho saltate purtroppo 3: i milanesi L.UL.U, i Disforia (che ero interessato tantissimo a vedere ma vabbè) e gli Ostiense, che sono stati i primissimi a esibirsi, verso le 19.30 circa. E pensare che io e la mia ragazza eravamo lì già qualche minuto prima ma è anche vero che il Play Fast è stato forse soprattutto un grandissimo momento di aggregazione dove il fermarsi per qualche sana chiacchierata con amici (fra cui Marina, venuta eccezionalmente da Viterbo con amore grind) e conoscenti vecchi e nuovi è stato spesso più importante rispetto al non perdere nessun gruppo e a pogare come pazzi. Ma, naturalmente, il Play Fast è stato bellissimo anche per questo. E pure per aver attirato un po' di giovani leve della scena, anche se ormai la cosa non dovrebbe più sorprendere ma questo ricambio generazionale mi piace un botto ogni volta che lo vedo coi miei occhi.

Play Fast 2: uscita la line-up definitiva!

Lo sapete, il primo Play Fast l'ho saltato e quindi sto aspettando con trepidazione la seconda edizione del festival più veloce di Roma che, atteso per il 28 marzo allo Spartaco, ormai ha raccolto lo scettro del vecchio Go! Fest. Infatti, diverso il nome ma identico l'approccio alla musica e al rumore per un festival che si preannuncia croccante per qualsiasi matto che va avanti a pane, pogo sfrenato e velocità disumane, anche perché da pochi giorni è uscita la line-up definitiva. In tutto ci sono 8 gruppi che vengono più o meno da un capo all'altro dell'Italia e quindi stavolta, purtroppo, manca qualsiasi ospite dall'estero ma sinceramente chissenefrega perché Pompeo e soci hanno messo comunque su un cartellone distruttivo capace di coinvolgere band sia stagionate che giovani e giovanissime, alcune delle quali hanno già partecipato a qualche Speed in Spartaco se non addirittura a qualche passata edizione del Go! Fest. Allora adesso scopriamo quali sono!

Believe it or not, 21st September 2019 was so challenging for me that, in a way or another, I managed to be awake for 23 fukken hours! In fact, before the Go! Fest I had to go by train even in Anzio (a town in south of Rome) for the birthday party of a friend of mine. That's why I was able to be at CSOA Spartaco for the "Italian fastest festival" only starting from 9 pm, and this means that I missed to see the first 5 bands in the bill like the Dutch power violence unit Gewoon Fucking Raggen, the brutal/grindsters Inglorious Basterds and the primitive black/death metallers Thecodontion, that opened the fest. I hoped to see some of them but, incredibly, this time the organizers were so precise and punctual that (almost) every band played during their own scheduled time, so the fest started effectively the hostilities at 5 pm or something else, as anticipated by Pompeo (Taste the Floor/Verano's Dogs/Go! Fest organization) some days before. And as always, this fest has been a great occasion of fun and aggregation  since the venue was really full of people coming from the entire Italy as well from other European countries. Ooookay, but now so what? So, let's go to see what happened in the 9th edition of the Go! Fest!
