Band: Godless Enthropia
Title: Tetracyclic Dominion
Genre: Technical and Progressive Death Metal
Time: 59.37 min
Release Date: 28th April 2018
Rating: 93/100
You know, I love to support the rawer and most-old-school forms of extreme metal but, sometimes, you can find on these pages bands with a more technical and modern approach. For example, this is the case of Spectral, an excellent trio from Romania whose debut album was reviewed here some months ago. And today it's the case of Godless Enthropia, a promising quintet from Italy that, after being founded in 2012 from the ashes of the death/thrash metal act Beyond the Unholy Truth, released this year their debut album "Tetracyclic Dominion" under the auspices of Symbol of Domination Productions along with Hecatombe Records. Coming from Turin (surely one of the most beautiful cities of my country!), Godless Enthropia were founded with the intentions to create something creative also taking inspirations from non-metal genres, so to surpass the classic borders of the extreme metal. Now let's start to see how those ambitious intentions became reality with this debut album!

Panico al Miedo - "Formador" (Symbol of Domination Prod/United by Chaos, 2018)
Band: Panico al Miedo
Title: Formador
Genre: Mid-tempo Thrash Metal with Death and Groove Metal influences
Time: 53.10 min
Release Date: 27th April 2018
Rating: 57/100
Recording and mixing by Juan Urteaga (already at work with bands of the calibre of Vile, Testament, Machine Head etc...), mastering by Jens Bogren (famous for his collaborations with Opeth, Amon Amarth, Paradise Lost etc...), a fantastic cover artwork full of absurd characters by nothing else than Ed J. Repka (do you know who he is or do you need an embarrassing refresh?), and the participation of some illustrious guitarplayers like James Murphy and Bobby Koelble, both ex-Death members. What an ambitious debut album for this Spanish quartet called Panico al Miedo! Is all this enough for a metal masterpiece? Not exactly...

Gloomy Grim - "Fuck the World, War is War!" (Symbol of Domination/Murdher Records, 2017)
Band: Gloomy Grim
Title: Fuck the World, War is War!
Genre: Symphonic Black Metal with Goth and Horror Metal elements
Year: 24th June 2017
Time: 33 min
Rating: 56/100
Compilation of old songs taken from their first two demos ("Fuck the World, Kill the Jehova" of 1996 and "Friendship is Friendship, War is War" of 1997) for the Finnish band Gloomy Grim, that I didn't know before this CD. They were started in 1995 as a one-man band of Agathon, that was already a veteran of the Finnish metal scene when he founded this new project. In fact, it's remarkable its past militancy in bands like Airdash (one of the most relevant '80s thrash metal acts from Finland) and Corporal Punishment (early '90s death metal), so I can say that he went through all the main phases in the extreme metal history, black metal included because of his Gloomy Grim, that, if I say right, became a full line-up band (but without the drummer) in occasion of their second demo.

Cult of the Horns - "Chapter I - Domination" (Self-released, 2016; Symbol of Domination/Ira Militias, 2017)
Band: Cult of the Horns
Title: Chapter I - Domination
Genre: Black/Death Metal with Bestial influences
Year: 13th September 2016 (self-released)
26th July 2017 (Symbol of Domination Prod/Ira Militias Prod)
Time: 41 min
Rating: 82/100
If I am not mistaken, Mephisto, the guy behind the French one-man band Cult of the Horns, belongs to my FB group "Bestial Black/Death Metal", and I imagine that he will be happy by reading this positive review about the debut album "Chapter I - Domination" of his malevolent creature. I've got this album in my hard disk even since late August when Aleksey of Satanath Records sent it to me along with other releases (already reviewed on these pages) but I listened to it only during these last days.

Agonia Black Vomit - "Cosmosatanic Kingdom" (Symbol of Domination/Murdher Records, 2017)
Band: Agonia Black Vomit
Title: Cosmosatanic Kingdom
Genre: Black Metal
Year: 20th June 2017
Time: 42 min
Rating: 59/100
I confess: I decided to review the sophomore album of Agonia Black Vomit mostly because they comes from Rome Caput Mundi like me! Another reason is that Agonia Black Vomit is really a fantastic name, so, before to listen to this "Cosmosatanic Kingdom", I expected a blasting massacre of nuklear proportions able to kill all your fuckin' neurons! Instead, this CD released by the Belarussian label Symbol of Domination along with Murdher Rec (from Rome, too) show a strange and interesting approach to conceive the black metal music, also if it isn't so effective, as you'll read very soon.

Necroheresy - "Asylum" (Symbol of Domination/Wings of Destruction/Darknagar Records, 2017)
Band: Necroheresy
Title: Asylum
Genre: Death/Thrash Metal
Year: 16th June 2017
Time: 30 min
Rating: 83/100
Let's start again to review the releases that Aleksey of Satanath Rec sent to me some months ago. In fact, today it's the turn of "Asylym", the smashing debut album of Necroheresy, 5 pissed-off Slovakian demons very active in their local scene, also because some of them plays together in other bands like Aeon Winds (black metal/dark ambient). "Asylum" saw the (black) light through Symbol of Domination, the Belarussian parent label of Satanath, but in co-release with Wings of Destruction and Darknagar Rec, both small labels from Russia. But now, enter the asylum, full of Satanic lunatics and other killer strange people, of Necroheresy to see up close their virulent madness!

Granada - "Sincronizado" (Symbol of Domination, 2017)
Band: Granada
Title: Sincronizado
Genre: Thrashcore/Groove Metal
Year: 23rd June 2017
Time: 37 min
Rating: 79/100
After Ordem Satânica, All My Sins and Gökböri, here you are another band that sung in their not English mother tongue: Granada. From Argentina, they are a prolific band able to release, from their foundation in 2008, even 4 full-lenght albums from 2012 to 2017, included the last one named "Sincronizado". I received it 3 months ago by Aleksey of the Russian label Satanath Records, the parent label of Symbol of Domination (from Belarus) that released this "Sincronizado".

"Life is a cycle where we are born and die synchronized with nature, but it is as if we were constantly struggling to break that bond, consumerism and greed blinds us and trasforms us into our worst enemies"
