Death Worship - "Extermination Mass" (Nuclear War Now! Productions, 2017)

Band: Death Worship
Title: Extermination Mass
Genre: Bestial Black/Death Metal
Year: 4th November 2017(first edition)/20th February 2017 (second edition)
Time: 19 min
Rating: 75/100

It's incredible but the almighty Blasphemy, also if they are alive and always on the warpath, don't realize something new since their long-awaited reunion happened in 1999, when this legendary band became a quintet due to the addition as a stable member of Ryan Förster of Conqueror fame, now known with the moniker Deathlörd of Abomination and War Apocalypse. Just he gave birth in 2013 to his no compromise creature named Death Worship. After 3 years of gestation, the usual Nuclear War Now! Prod has released in the previous year, reissueing it recently with a new cover artwork, the debut EP of Death Worship titled "Extermination Mass", a new manifest devoted completely to the verb of Blasphemy. This is due also because their same singer, Nocturnal Grave Desecrator and Black Winds, helped Ryan with some vocals and effects while you can find as a session drummer nothing else than James Read of Conqueror/Revenge fame. At this point, you could say that Conqueror, formed in fact by the duo Förster/Read, are back with Death Worship. But this is a total new adventure, and, with 3 artists of this kind involved in it, "Extermination Mass" is a carpet bombardment like few others!

Holocausto - "War Metal Massacre" (Nuclear War Now! Productions, 2017)

Band: Holocausto
Title: War Metal Massacre
Genre: Black/Thrash Metal
Time: 23 min
Year: 5th March 2017
Rating: 70/100

The Brazilians Holocausto, one of the very first true progenitors of the so-called "war metal", are back with a very very special mini-album! Recorded with the same identical line-up of their seminal "Campo de Exterminio" (Cogumelo Records, 1987), "War Metal Massacre" represents for Holocausto a decisive return to the raw style with which they are now very known and respected into the underground before they abandoned it to embrace various styles ranging from a more standard thrash metal to thrashcore through unrecognizable experimentations like "Negatives". To emphasize this welcome return to the roots, Holocausto have even re-recorded 3 their very old songs: "Massacre" taken directly from their 1985 demo with the same name (!), and "Destruição Nuclear" and "Escarro Napalm" from the fundamental "Warfare Noise Vol.1" compilation edited by Cogumelo in 1986 (!!). Now, if the first part of "War Metal Massacre" is composed of the aforementioned numbers, its second one consists completely of new songs. I have already to say that, among the innumerable returns of more or less old glories from the past happened in these last years, "War Metal Massacre" is surely one of the most surprising ones!

Sacrificio - "Guerra Eterna" (Iron Bonehead Productions/Nuclear War Now! Productions, 2016)

Band: Sacrificio
Title: Guerra Eterna
Genre: Proto-Black Metal
Year: 9th December 2016
Time: 34 min
Rating: 73/100

You can read my review (in Italian) about the demo of Sacrificio through the following link:

http://www.heavymetalwebzine.it/2015/01/22/sacrificio-sacrificio-2014/

There are bands always eager to explore new borders like Bölzer while other ones are completely deep-rooted into the most primordial black metal like Sacrificio. Proud of their radical sonic immobilism influenced by Venom as well as the Brazilians Holocausto or the Czechoslovakia's Master's Hammer, Sacrificio are a trio of  studded Satanic crusaders yet known by me in occasion of their 2014's homonymous demo. But, behind this young band founded in 2014, there is the same trio of Proclamation, one of the better Blasphemy-clones of all times that are responsible of an album's quadrilogy known as "AMEN" released between 2006 and 2012. Hence, here you are a good explanation about the sonic immobilism of Sacrificio and their will to play in a very ancient way similar to the Greek Principality of Hell or the Slovaks Malokarpatan, also if offering an interesting sound. So, Sacrificio have recently released their debut album "Guerra Eterna" through Iron Bonehead Productions in unholy co-operation with Nuclear War Now! Productions.

Black Witchery - "Evil Shall Prevail" (Nuclear War Now! Productions, 2016)

Band: Black Witchery
Title: Evil Shall Prevail
Genre: Bestial Black/Death metal

Ladies and gentlemen, a retrospective compilation about the very early Black Witchery is recently released on CD and double vinyl by the infamous Nuclear War Now! Productions! This compilation titled “Evil Shall Prevail” contains even 18 songs per 78 minutes of non-stop violence in Black Witchery-style ranging, without a precise chronological order, from an obscure 1997’s demo (when this trio was still known as Witchery) to the split album of 1999 with the Canadians Conqueror “Hellstorm of Evil Vengeance”.

Abigail - "The Final Damnation" (Nuclear War Now! Productions, 2016)

Band: Abigail
Album: The Final Damnation
Genre: Black/Speed/Thrash metal
Year: 2016
Time: 38 min
Rating: 90/100

You can read my review (in Italian) about the debut album "Intercourse and Lust" through the following link:

http://timpaniallospiedo.blogspot.it/2015/04/abigail-intercourse-lust-1996.html#more

2 years ago I reviewed (in Italian) for heavymetalwebzine.it the reissue via Nuclear War Now! Prod of the fantastic debut album of the Japanese Abigail. And now I review their last album, released on CD on 22nd August 2016 always under NWN! to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Abigail, a band so prolific about minor productions that, shortly after the 6th album’s release, has spewed forth via Sabbath’s Fire Records a live album in France even dating back to 15 years ago! But the good thing is, today as yesterday, Abigail, guided always by the drummer Youhei and the vocalist/bassist Yasuyuki Suzuki, aren’t really changed throughout their career, showing today again a musical fury and an underground integrity like few others. Furthermore, the cover artwork of their last album, “The Final Damnation”, was made by a prestigious name: Chris Moyen aka Thorncross, an artist who certainly needs no introduction.
