after The Ammonoids, there is another very good news about the Roman punk front!
In fact, the five-piece beatdown band Blair, after setting a new line-up, have released just today their single "Cry for Revenge", a little but interesting taste of their debut EP to come.
The single shows a brutal and hysterical beatdown admittedly influenced by bands like Caged Existence and Sanction alternating very fast moments with other slower ones and characterized by a riffing sometimes belonging to the slamming brutal death metal and by the new singer Fabio (known for his militancy into the now defunct experimental death metal band Mushder), who spews forth killing guttural vocals with lyrics that, inspired by the events happened in Minneapolis this May, have a strong anti-fascist and anti-racist message.
In brief, "Cry for Revenge" promises a lot of good things for Blair, also because they represent a sort of breath of fresh air into the Roman hardcore punk scene since the beatdown (that, for who knows nothing about it, is a very heavy hardcore punk with metallic influences) isn't a "fashion" genre in my city. So, I can't wait that their debut EP will be out!
