You can read my review (in Italian) about "Mysterium Tremendum et Fascinans" through the following link:

It's always an honour when an Italian band acquires an excellent international reputation. This is the case of Fides Inversa, a duo able to develop a good fame and a recognisable sound through an intense live activity and a small discography made only of 2 fantastic and difficult albums, both released by strong European labels since the first one was disseminated by the French Osmose Productions while the second one by the German black metal label World Terror Committee. In particular, Fides Inversa are building with W.T.C. a collaboration so fecund to become temporarily an international quartet for their last production, "Rite of Inverse Incarnation", where the singer is the Swedish Wraath of Behexen while the bassplayer is nothing more than Unhold, the same boss of World Terror Committee! The results of this unholy collaboration are two very interesting songs.

As usual very long songs as wants the typical Fides Inversa-style, "First Congress" and the titletrack shows the ultra-fast and tempestuous black metal of the Italian band, characterised mainly by the severe, majestic and hysterical riffing of Void A.D. and by the drumming of Omega A.D. able to smash everything through his earthquaking blast-beats played always with a good imagination.

All this is crystalized into an occult atmosphere, yet very strong from the slow, serpentine and ritualistic start of "First Congress". But this occult atmosphere is this time more pregnant than usual due to Wraath, which has very enriched the vocal range (and this was yet very imaginative with Omega A.D.) of Fides Inversa through his more guttural style and his voices so disturbing that he seems seriously into the pandemonium of a painful Satanic ecstasy!

Moreover, consider that the two songs, despite their incredibile lenght, are always more potent and effective also due to very fluid structures where there are also some guitar solos and breaks with ultra-violent restart (for example, the break with whispers in "First Congress" is awesome!). It's curious that both the tracks ends into an obsessive and mostly instrumental mid/slow-tempo, as that one of "First Congress" which starts from a short acustic melodic passage.
In summary, if the second album "Mysterium Tremendum et Fascinans" impressed me also if it had some rare moments of uncertainty, "Rite of Inverse Incarnation" convince me entirely. I think this is due to the fact that Fides Inversa, having only 2 songs to show again their big value and having also two great guests, have unchained to the maximum their every potential creating a very intense music. This is the reason because I rate this EP with an 80/100, a rate usually exaggerated for a non-full-lenght album but this is the classic exception to the rule. Nothing else to say. Now it's black metal of Fides Inversa that must talk you.
