Verano's Dogs+Tibia (Rome, 23rd June 2018)

Bands: Verano's Dogs/Tibia
Date: 23rd June 2018
Location: Trecentosessanta Gradi, Rome (Italy)

Between 22nd and 23rd June of 2018 there have been two very intense live gigs at the fantastic punk club Trecentosessanta Gradi (or 360): the first one was very hardcore punkish with a main act of the calibre of Insanity Alert, 4 funny and totally crazy crossover thrashers from Austria; instead, the second one was more extreme metal-oriented and contained in the bill only two Italian bands, included Verano's Dogs. For simple questions of time, I reviewed here the second gig mentioned but, surely, you have to expect, in the future days to come, also a nice live report about what happened on 22nd June, so please be patient, ok?

Band: Hellfire Deathcult
Title: Black Death Terroristic Onslaught
Genre: Bestial Black/Death Metal
Year: 1st April 2018

"Militant Raw Death Worshipping Bestial Chaos": this is the "simple" definition choosen by the extermination squad Hellfire Deathcult (coming from Chicago, Illinois) to describe their sonic delirium. What they released under the blasphemic auspices of the Spanish label Deathrune Records is a second album that keeps everything it promises since its title "Black Death Terroristic Onslaught"!

Hanormale: a Twin Peaks cover!!!

Hey brutalbangers,
the Italian avant-black metal band Hanormale recently did a very crazy thing: in fact, they coverized the Laura Palmer's theme of Twin Peaks in a song called "It Is Happening Again", that will be featured into their upcoming new album "Reborn in Butterfly", scheduled to be released on autumn 2018.

Sudden Death - "Stillborn" (Art Gates Records, 2018)

Band: Sudden Death
Title: Stillborn
Genre: Brutal Death Metal
Year: 25th May 2018
Time: 14 min
Rating: 72/100

There are plenty of bands called Sudden Death but there is only one with this name coming from Italy, more precisely from an area near Rome. If you remember well, I already talked about these Sudden Death through a live report published 3 months ago while today you'll read the review about their very fresh new EP "Stillborn", released under the auspices of the Spanish label Art Gates Records. It's always nice when a label from abroad supports the Italian bands, especially when they have a lot of experiences and also an excellent reputation in the motherland as, indeed, Sudden Death.

Injector - "Stone Prevails" (Art Gates Records, 2018)

Band: Injector
Title: Stone Prevails
Genre: Technical Thrash Metal with some Heavy Metal hints
Year: 25th May 2018
Time: 61 min
Rating: 90/100

It's incredible how much "Stone Prevails" is good! I am saying this because this second album by the Spanish combo Injector is really ponderous thanks to its 12 songs per 61 minutes, a lenght which often scares also the most expert listeners since the risk to listen to a boring release is always high in these cases. But this isn't the case of Injector!

INTERVIEW TO KREMLIN (NEUTRON CANNON)

Hey brutal headbangers,
there were no interviews on these demented pages since 3 months ago circa, so it's with great pleasure that today I am going to present to you this chat with Neutron Cannon on all things Kremlin, from their debut album to the special lyrical themes faced by them. You can agree or disagree with some of their ideas (like the theory of the flat earth) but, anyway, the Canadian war machine Kremlin have every right to fuck your ears again and again through their decimating death metal!

ENJOY THIS INTERVIEW!!!

Funeral Winds - "Sinister Creed" (Avantgarde Music, 2018)

Band: Funeral Winds
Title: Sinister Creed
Genre: Brutal Black Metal
Year: 29th January 2018
Time: 35 min
Rating: 88/100

Funeral Winds+Avantgarde Music: a sacrilegious alliance between two historic entities of the European extreme metal scene. On a side, Funeral Winds is a black metal band from the Netherlands guided, with extreme dedication to this music as well to the Satanic arts, by the only remaining founder member Hellchrist Xul since 1991. On the other side, Avantgarde Music is a well-known Italian label founded in 1994 that released albums of relevant bands like Carpathian Forest, Abigor, Behemoth and so on, but without forgetting its first incarnation under the name of Obscure Plasma Records, responsible to publishing in 1993 nothing else than the infamous "Live in Leipzig" (with Dead at the vokills!) by Mayhem! Well, this alliance gave recently dark life to "Sinister Creed", the 4th album of Funeral Winds after 11 fukken years from the previous one.

Zifir - "Kingdom of Nothingness" (Duplicate Records, 2017)

Band: Zifir
Title: Kingdom of Nothingness
Genre: Black Metal
Year: 22th September 2017
Time: 50 min
Rating: 84/100

In according to Metal-Archives, ˂˂ Zifir is the Persian-originated word for "tar", which finds its use in "zifiri karanlık", an idiom corresponding to "utter darkness ˃˃. In other words, Zifir is a moniker very fit for a Turkish duo that released in 2017 an outstanding third album through the small Norwegian label Duplicate Records. Prepare to be deathly embraced by a surprising little black metal gem!

Sombre Croisade - "Balancier des âmes" (Pest Records, 2017)

Band: Sombre Croisade
Title: Balancier des âmes
Genre: Black Metal
Year: 29th September 2017
Time: 41 min
Rating: 70/100

Sometimes, there is a black metal circle that I didn't know before. As many circles of this kind, also Molasar's Dreams (its name is an homage to Molasar, a musician died at the beginning of 2011 that played in bands like P.H.T.O.) is formed by many acts leaded, more or less, by the same people. Some of the bands that belongs to this French circle are called Sombre Croisade, Suicidal Madness, Blukovla, Loup Noir and others. It's incredible the fact that the unstoppable Alrinack is behind many of the aforementioned entities. One of these ones is, indeed, Sombre Croisade (French for "Dark Crusade"), whose 2013 debut album "Litanie au mal" was a 77-minute monolith (!) of total evil while their second opus "Balancier des âmes" lasts "only" 41 minutes.
